For ages 4 and 5 – Must turn 4 by October 31st. Children participate in fun-filled, 45 minute-long PAYSA Minis clinics on Saturday mornings for one hour (starting at 10am or 11am) for six to eight weeks beginning the weekend of September 9th. This co-ed program is designed to create a fun learning environment that teaches basic skills through games. Parents are expected to remain on site for the duration of the clinics.
During the team building process, we will separate the U5s (4-years old) from the U6s (5-years old) so we have U5 teams and U6 teams. This will allow each age group to grow at a better pace.
All Minis clinics are held Saturday mornings at Dougherty field on Douglass Street.
Each session lasts 45 minutes and consists of a practice with a 10-15 minute scrimmage at the end. Each child receives a t-shirt. Shin guards are required to play but cleats are optional. Many children in this age group will not like the feeling of the shin guards. It is perfectly acceptable for the shin guards to be worn outside the socks. Parents are expected to remain on site for the duration of the clinics.
