Referees are as important to the game of soccer as players and coaches. PAYSA only works when we have enough qualified referees to work the games for the kids.

The PAYSA referee assignor is always looking for referees during the busy soccer season.  To become a center referee ( grade 8) or assistant referee (grade 9 ) you have to complete a US Soccer Federation course (grade 8 two days, grade 9 one day) and you can start officiating games. With this certification you can officiate USSF games throughout Maine.
