We are currently seeking candidates for the following Board positions:
Director – Recreation Programming
Role & Responsibility: The Director of Recreation Programming shall coordinate the activities of the Fall In-House Leagues, including but not limited to: preparations for Fall In-House registrations, recruitment and management of volunteers, assignment of players to teams, and scheduling of games, shall attend a representative selection of games to monitor coaches, parents, players, referees, and field conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage 4-5 coordinators
- Desire to learn and operate in the GotSoccer registration platform
Time Commitment: This position will work in tandem with the Director – Recreational Programming and has a small amount of baseline activities throughout the year, and functions mostly in July & August.
Assistant Director – Recreation Programming
Role & Responsibility: The Assistant Director – Recreation Programming shall assist with the coordination of the activities of the Fall In-House Leagues, including but not limited to: preparations for Fall In-House registrations; recruitment and management of volunteers; assignment of players to teams and scheduling of games; shall attend a representative selection of games to monitor coaches, parents, players, referees, and field conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage 4-5 coordinators
- Desire to learn and operate in the GotSoccer registration platform
Time Commitment: This position will work in tandem with the Director – Recreational Programming and has a small amount of baseline activities throughout the year, and functions mostly in July & August.
Registrar
Role & Responsibilities: The registrar shall own and maintain our player/coach/parent database and update the necessary records as needed; shall work with the Rec & Travel Directors to enable the registration process for our programming; maintain accurate lists of payment status; facilitate reporting of program enrolments to SoccerME; work with the Treasurer to ensure payments are properly recorded in the system.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn the GotSoccer online participant data basing.
- Diligence and attention to detail.
Time Commitment: ~2hours/week. This position ramps up in the March/April & July/August timeframes as we begin enrollments for our Spring & Fall programming, respectively.
Director of Skills Programming
Role & Responsibilities: The Director of Skills Programming shall coordinate the activities of Winter Futsal/Indoor and Spring Skills Clinic, including but not limited to: leading collaborations with outside groups, coordinating enrollment, identifying playing spaces, selecting coaches, maintaining master team schedule, compiling equipment/uniform requirements and attend a representative selection of games to monitor coaches, parents, players, referees and playing conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail
- Desire to learn and operate in the GotSoccer registration platform
Time Commitment: This position will work in tandem with the Director – Recreational Programming and has a small amount of baseline activities throughout the year, and does speed up a bit in October/November and March/April as our Winter and Summer Programming approaches.
Referee Assignor
Role & Responsibilities: The Referee Assignor works to ensure all PAYSA games have appropriate referee coverage; maintains a list of available referees; provides game assignments to selected referees; coordinates payments of referees; assists to ensure referees have required certifications; serves as agent to referee pool; acts as referee advocate on Board of Directors; attend annual referee assignor meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Existing Assignor Certification or willingness to become certified.
- Ability to serve as agent/confidant to pool of referees.
- Desire to conduct mentoring and facilitate referee development programs.
- Ability to negotiate last-minute schedule and availability troubleshooting.
Time Commitment: ~2 hours/week. This position works in parallel with Spring and Fall Soccer programming. There is an element of continuous improvement and referee development that may stretch a little beyond the actual game season.
